Acer Iconia Tab A500 Available 4/24 for $450

Acer announced today that its Iconia Tab A500 10.1" Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablet will launch on April 24th for under $450.  Considering similar specs to Motorola's Xoom, it is a good deal. This is a Best Buy exclusive so you can preorder it now.  How similar is this table to the Xoom?

Besides that it will sport the same Nvidia Tegra 250 1GHz dual-core processor, the Iconia Tab A500 will also have 1GB of RAM, 5MP rear camera & 2MP front camera, 1280x800 resolution, and HDMI output.  Of course, there are differences. The Xoom is slighter smaller but not by much.  Both weigh about the same (Iconia 1.69lbs vs. Xoom 1.609lbs).  Also the Iconia will only have 16GB of memory while the Xoom sports 32GB.  However, the Iconia's micro SD port should be functional unlike the Xoom.  One noticeable difference is that the Iconia will have a full USB port instead of a typical micro or mini-USB port.  Great price for a Honeycomb tablet.  We will keep our eye on this.
