Verizon to Sell CDMA iPad
Verizon Wireless will soon be selling Apple's iPad that connects directly to its CDMA network. Currently, the only way someone can connect to a Verizon network is through the use of a MiFi device. However, the iPad will connect directly to the network without the need of an additional device. This competes against AT&T which the iPad does connect directly to their network. AT&T's relationship with Apple is declining (the iPhone will be available on Verizon's network effective 2/10/11).

Verizon To Reduce Samung Galaxy Tab Price To $499
According to Droid-Life, Verizon will be reducing the price of the Galaxy Tab to $499 (with no contract). In addition, Verizon will be throwing in $60 worth of movie rentals through Blockbuster or Media Hub. In order to ease concerns for those who already bought a Galaxy Tab before the price drop, Verizon will issue a credit to those who purchased one 14 days before the price drop. At $499, we still believe the price is too high. At $399, it starts to be competitive.

Verizon Wireless To Sell Ipad
Probably not the news that most people are waiting to hear that involves Verizon and Apple but nonetheless it is news. Verizon Wireless will be selling Apple's iPad later this month. Unconfirmed reports still are going around that Verizon will offer the iPhone early next year but again its unconfirmed by either parties. Although the 3G version of the iPad is not compatible with Verizon's CDMA network, Verizon will be selling the WiFi version with an optional bundle including its "MiFi" device. This device allows one to access Verizon's network using a WiFi connection. One can purchase different data packages. AT&T will start selling the iPad in its store on 10/28 also with different data packages. Always compare data plans from the different carriers. Depending on your usage, one maybe more expensive than another. Virgin Mobile has competitive pricing on their data plans with their "MiFi" device. |

Update: Motorola Tablet
As we reported on Aug 3rd, Motorola is teaming up with Verizon to introduce a tablet later this year. We have some additional updates such as Motorola will be releasing this tablet by the holiday season. The tablet is rumored to be called "Everest".
It will have a 10" screen and have similar dimensions to the iPad.
Looks like we will be very busy during the 4th quarter reviewing all these tablets that the major manufacturers will be introducing.
