Survey Results: Motorola Xoom is Winner

I know I am a little late on this as the survey closed several days ago.  The question of the month was "Which tablet are you looking forward to?"  The winner: Motorola Xoom.  No surprise there.  Who were the others?

eLocity A10 Available for Pre-Order 2/15

StreamTV Network is following up on its A7 Android tablet with a 10.1" tablet.  One can pre-order it on 2/15 at major online retailers (Amazon.com; JR.com; TigerDirect.com; and BHPhoto.com).  The lowest price model will be $399 for 4GB.  This would be about $40 more than the A7 for the same capacity.  Unfortunately, the tablet will be running Android 2.2.  We will try to find out if Honeycomb (3.0) will be available later on.  The processor will be the same 1.0GHz Nvidia Tegra 2.  Based on what is mentioned, this could have a true multi-touch screen unlike the A7.

UPDATE: StreamTV Elocity A7 Now Available for Pre-order through Amazon

We reported back on August 29th that StreamTV was launching an Android tablet to be sold through Amazon. It was suppose to be available for pre-order on 9/3 but never materialized. Now, the Elocity A7 is available for pre-order through Amazon. The initial price that we were communicated was $399 but actually it is listed for $369.99.  No release date is mentioned.  We will be reviewing this tablet once we get our hands on it.

StreamTV Elocity to launch $399 tablet through Amazon (pre-orders starting 9/3?)

Another company, StreamTV Networks, throws their hat into the tablet ring.  We have heard many companies providing little details about pricing and/or specs.  Even when details are available, we are skeptical.  Until products are actually released, anything can change.  StreamTV is a startup company based in Philadelphia and sells 3D HDTVs through Amazon.  That is all we know as we have found little about this company.  Their HDTVs are out of stock through Amazon so we are a little leery about this unknown company.
