Survey Results: Motorola Xoom is Winner

I know I am a little late on this as the survey closed several days ago.  The question of the month was "Which tablet are you looking forward to?"  The winner: Motorola Xoom.  No surprise there.  Who were the others?

Delivery Delays for Notion Ink's Adam Tablet

Growing Pains continue for Notion Ink.  Customers that pre-ordered the Adam will see delays of their shipment going into mid-Feb (2/14).  Apparently, there was damage to the touch screen (5% of the shipment) when shipped so shipments were canceled in order to rectify the problem.  A potential issue was that Chinese New Year is coming up and most businesses close for a few days.  This would cause additional delays.  However, Rohan (CEO of Notion Ink) has stated in his blog that the manufacturer requested their employees to work during the holiday.  "Most of them agreed."

Notion Ink Adam Clears FCC; Shipping Starts Wednesday

One of the most anticipated Android tablets is by a small company in India - Notion Ink.  We reported why we are excited about this tablet back in Dec.  After some delays and no "proof" of actual existence, multiple videos and photos plus an appearance at CES 2011, those who preordered it should start receiving them next week as shipping is reported to start this Wednesday.  According to the latest blog by Rohan Shravan, CEO of Notion Ink, "Pre-order 2 has yet not started because we are waiting for deliveries in US and European countries (that would mean that we are just a few days away from it)."  Once Pre-order 2 starts, we will be placing an order so we can do a full review.

Update: Notion Ink Adam Preorders - Hold the Orders

Two days ago we reported that the Notion Ink Adam was going live with preorders on Friday (yesterday).  However, AndroidPolice has uncovered some information that one should note and maybe hold off the preorders.  At this point, we would recommend not placing any preorders on this product until we get some additional clarification.  We want to make sure that this is not another repeat of the CherryPad scam.  However, we are not claiming that Notion Ink is a scam but do read AndroidPolice's post.

Notion Ink Adam Tablet: Preorder Goes Live on Friday

Previously, we have not reported anything on the Norton Ink Adam.  Reason being that there were many rumors but nothing really confirmed.  In any case, we were wrong in not providing general information about this exciting tablet launching soon.  We at TabletConnect can be tough when reviewing tablets.  With possibly hundreds of tablet launching in 2011, manufacturers will need to really differentiate their product.  Otherwise, its a tablet with the same OS as another.  However, we do get excited with tablets that are different and that should give the iPad a run for its money.  Two tablets that we have high hopes for are BlackBerry's PlayBook and the eLocity A7.  However, we are adding the Notion Ink Adam to our list of most desired tablets.  Why?
