Weekly Wrap-Up: 8/12/11

Oopps, noticed that I skipped last week's Weekly Wrap-Up so we will review the prior two weeks.  All Weekly Wrap-Ups are supposed to be for the week ending Friday.  Since we missed last week's, this week will focus on all news from 8/1:

•  Ipad 3 will launch at same price point as iPad 2 which would then be discounted.
• Must be discount day. Xoom, TouchPad and Thrive are all on sale today (8/3) thru various retailers. [We believe prices will continue to fall. If you are in the market for a tablet and can wait, prices should fall next month as newer models come out.]
• Pandigital releasing 3 Android Tablets. Starting at $159 http://t.co/spzSj1O
• ViewSonic ViewBook 730 Review was released. http://t.co/dijen5W
• So Apple is again suing another competitor, Motorola XOOM. Apple is a bully who tries to unfairly block competition.
• HP 7" TouchPad passes FCC. Also HP announced $100 price cut is permanent. Doubt this will spur sales.
• sites shouldn't report news if it's far fetch. Some say iPad 3 is coming this fall while others say next yr. This is why we are quiet.
• Target has Acer Iconia A500 for $399 with $100 gift card so you are getting a 10" Honeycomb tablet for about $299 before tax.
