Sony's first tablet, S, will go on sale on or around 9/16. The 16GB device will start at $499 while the 32GB will cost $599. You can preorder the device now at Sony.com. The 9.4" tablet will have Android HoneyComb (3.x), have Android Market installed, built-in universal remote, music and new release movies through Sony Entertainment Network and play PlayStation games since this is a PlayStation-certified device. The tablet market continues to get crowded and manufacturers are trying to differentiate their device from others. Features will be important but so will pricing.
Sony's unique clamshell tablet, P, which features two 5.5" screens is different and may be a tablet to consider for its mobility. The tablet can be folded together for easy transportation. Pricing will be key. No word on release date or pricing.
Sony is finally entering the tablet market? This is encouraging! Anyhow, I like you site! I wanted to discuss a few things with you sometime if possible. I was wondering if I could perhaps RSS stream your blog to a new section of my tablet sales website. Shoot me an email sometime (my online tablet shop has a contact form you can use, I don't want to put my email here publicly lest I start getting spam :)...)
